She Means Business: Creating Space for Women in Tech and Accounting
For too long, women in tech and accounting have had to navigate spaces that didn’t feel designed for us. Spaces where our voices weren’t always heard, where role models were few and far between, and where advice on overcoming barriers often felt out of reach.
That’s why we created She Means Business.
Our podcast is more than just conversations—it’s a space where women can feel seen, heard, and inspired. A place where stories resonate and spark change, where advice is practical and empowering, and where we remind ourselves and each other that we no longer need to live in a man’s world.

Why we started
Christina, Sofie, Amy, Sara, and Hemes all come from different backgrounds, but we share one thing in common: when we were starting out, we didn’t always have someone to look up to in tech or accounting. That gap mattered. It left us wondering where our place was, or if we even had one.
So, we decided to fill it.
She Means Business exists so that no woman feels like she’s on her own when navigating these industries—whether you’re considering a career change, fresh out of university, or simply looking for encouragement to take the next step.
Who you’ll hear from
We’ve been lucky enough to host some truly inspiring guests already.
Nicola Deverson, Chloe Fallon (founder of Lodestar), and Grace Hardy (founder of Hardy Accounting) have joined us to talk about their journeys in accounting and tech.
We’ve also welcomed change-makers like Debbie Spooner and Mark Jenkins from The Gap, and Daniel Lawrence from Bots For That, who are all about doing what’s right for you and pushing the industry forward.
Each guest brings their own wisdom, their own story, and their own proof that barriers can be broken.
Who it’s for
While She Means Business is proudly designed with women in mind, we know these conversations are valuable for everyone. Men, too, will find these stories insightful—because awareness is just as important as action. Change only happens when everyone understands why it’s needed.
